Giving Back to our Community with our 2021 Social Promise

Giving back to our community with our 2021 social promise

2020 was a rough year for everyone. We have seen many people within our local communities fall into hard times.  There have been a considerable amount of people that have just run out of options and have had to give up their homes.  Once that happens, once someone becomes homeless or displaced, there are a number of hurdles that need to be overcome to get back to where they once were.

After seeing the struggles that some people were facing we have decided to start making an impact. To start making a change for the better. That’s why our 2021 social promise is to make this change. Throughout the next year, we will be implementing our new social promise in efforts to help the homeless. For every shipment, Becker will donate towards providing meals and shelter for the homeless community in Saint Charles, IL.

We want to see positive change so we are going to go out and cause it. Each and every one of our employees will be able to take a part simply by performing their duties. Every shipment that is moved comes with the knowledge that they are working to help someone that is in need. We hope that everyone in the Becker team is able to take on this purpose and truly succeed with it.

Humanity for the Homeless

Also, this year, Becker Logistics founder and CEO Jim Becker will be launching Humanity for the Homeless which will work to bring this social promise to more communities. The plan is to partner with businesses and individuals that wish to truly help. We wanted to be able to expand beyond communities that we can see, to be able to help anyone that needs it. The goal here is to build a network of people and corporations that are willing to take action to help solve homelessness.

From Becker Logistics alone, we plan to start off by being able to feed 200-250 people per day. So we cannot wait to see what happens once we partner with others, once everyone takes on the responsibility to better the world.
